The X Factor, the Grinch, family fun and mobile licences

We imagine you’re a family of three and you just want to know what you can all do over the next weekend, then rank those options together

Friday 22 November

Kick back and relax on the sofa, with a helping of Firebox 4×4 entertainment on offer from Friday night: it will keep you entertained for two or three hours. As the game show The Gadget Show stated, 25% of everything bought after launch is unplayable. One programme for £3.49 will give you “10 hours of entertainment”, while a £3.99 extra will set you up for a staggering 33 hours – and you can find more details at the Firebox website. At press time, the online RRP for an hour on the sofa (including WiFi) with its own TV is £5.99.

Saturday 23 November

Settle in for the day on the sofa, then keep the whole family entertained with Landline Public and its free WiFi. Other options include Andy’s Movie Time, which will net you four hours of entertainment, and Nat West Tv Racing, which gets you six hours to watch and search for and discuss TV shows.
